Guideline for Presentation
The outline of the oral and poster presentations at the 26th JACD/KACD Joint-Scientific Meeting is as follows.
For Oral Presenters
・Please prepare your presentation slides in “16:9” format.
・The presentation will be made available on demand on our website at a later date, so please note that we will be video recording it on the day.
・Oral presentations shall all be made using only a personal computer. Please note that you will not be able to use slides nor videos.
・If you have created your presentation data on Windows, please submit it on a USB flash drive whenever possible. Media other than a USB flash drive will not be accepted. We also recommend you to have a backup copy of your data.
・If you are using a Macintosh, please make sure to bring your own personal computer.
・Please preview and check your presentation data at the computer reception desk at least 30 minutes before your scheduled time of presentation. If you bring your own personal computer, after previewing and checking the data, you will be asked to leave your computer at the computer operation desk at the front left of the presentation venue. Please bring it at least 20 minutes before your presentation.
・Please take your seat at the next presenter's seat on the left front of the venue at least 15 minutes before the starting time of your presentation.
・Please operate the mouse and keypad on the podium by yourself during your presentation.
・If you bring your own computer, please set it at the computer operation desk at the front left of the venue and operate it remotely using the mouse and keypad on the podium. You will not be able to set your computer on the podium nor use the presenter tools.
※ For those bringing their presentation data (Windows only)
・Please prepare it using Microsoft PowerPoint and use the following OS standard fonts.
[English] Times New Roman・Arial・Arial Black・Arial Narrow・Century・Century Gothic・ Courier・Courier New・Georgia
・You can use videos, but please bring video files that can be played using the codecs included in the default settings of Windows (OS) and Windows Media Player 11. We recommend the video files to be in MP4 or WMV format.
・You can also use audios. Please tell so at the computer reception desk.
・The file size, including the video files, shall be within 1GB.
・The resolution of the computer used for the presentation shall be set to Full HD (1920 x 1080)
・There have been cases of virus infection via media, so please run a scan with the latest virus checking software.
・We will responsibly delete all the data provided for the presentation after the annual meeting is over.
※ For those bringing their own computer or Mac
・Some laptops require a connector that comes with the device, so please make sure to bring your own HDMI conversion connector.
・Videos and audios can also be used, but please make sure to check they work properly at the computer reception desk.
・The resolution of the screen shall all be set to Full HD (1920 x 1080).
・Please disable the screen saver and power saving settings beforehand.
・Please make sure to bring a power adapter. Using batteries may cause problems.
・We recommend you to have a backup copy of your data.
・After your presentation, your computer will be returned to you at the computer operation desk located at the front left of the venue. Due to the limitation in space, please kindly get your computer back soon after
your presentation.
For Poster Presenters
About the mounting and their removal
Poster presenters are required to mounting and remove their posters at the times listed below. There is no replacement.
Mounting
Please mounting your posters on November 21st from 8:30 to 9:30.
Removal
Please remove your posters between 3:00pm and 4:00pm on November 22nd.
Posters that were not removed by the designated time will be disposed of by the secretariat (they will not be stored nor returned by postal mail).
Poster presentation
Poster presentations at this conference will be posted at the venue and participants will be able to ask questions.
Date and time of presentation: 14:30-15:00, November 21 (Thu),2024
Please take questions in front of your poster.
About the panel space
The poster panel is 210 cm high and 90 cm wide. As shown in the figure, the presentation number will be prepared by the secretariat at 20 cm from the left on top the panel.
The effective display space is 160 cm x 90 cm.
Push pins will be provided by the secretariat.
On-Demand Viewing
The poster presentation will be made available on demand on our website at a later date.
